We customize the SureSmile® Clear Aligners process to each patient. We’ll start by examining your teeth to determine if SureSmile Clear Aligners are the right course of action for your smile.

Consultation

During your consultation appointment, we’ll go over the SureSmile® Clear Aligners process, expectations, and cost to ensure you feel confident and comfortable with this treatment. We encourage you to ask us any questions you may have at this time, and our friendly team is happy to provide you with more information.

Creating a Plan

Once you’re ready to begin the process, we’ll start with a 3D scan of your teeth. These images are necessary for creating the custom aligners that will gradually straighten your smile.

Fitting your aligners

It can take a couple of weeks for the aligners to be made. When they are ready, we’ll schedule you for a fitting. At your fitting, we'll make sure your aligners sit securely over your teeth and are trimmed correctly around the gums. The specialized plastic material is designed for your comfort, but it’s important to note that, as with any change, it takes a little time to get used to.

Follow Up

Throughout your SureSmile® Clear Aligners journey, we’ll schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments. Typically, these appointments are scheduled six to eight weeks apart until your treatment is complete.

Tips for taking care of your aligners

When your SureSmile® Clear Aligners are taken care of, so are your teeth. To help you achieve your ideal smile, we'll go over care instructions during your fitting appointment. This includes:

• Taking out your aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water
• Protecting your aligners by putting them in their case when not in use
• Rinsing and gently brush your aligners every night
• Removing food or debris from your mouth before putting your aligners back in
